Your privacy is important to us. HabitRoaster ("we," "our," or "us") is designed to respect your privacy. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data on our servers. All habit tracking data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework.

2. Data Collection and Storage

Data Stored Locally

  • All habits, logs, streak data, mood entries, and mascot preferences are stored securely on your device.
  • We do not operate a central server that collects or views your tracking history.
  • If you delete the app, your local data will be permanently deleted (unless you have iCloud Backups enabled through Apple).

Cloud Sync

  • If we implement iCloud Sync in the future, your data will be stored in your private iCloud container, accessible only by you.
  • We will never have access to your iCloud data.

3. In-App Purchases (Premium)

  • Payments and subscriptions are processed directly by Apple via the App Store.
  • We do not receive or store your credit card information, billing address, or other financial details.
  • Apple may share anonymous transaction data with us (e.g., "Active Subscription" status) solely to unlock premium features.

4. Analytics

We may use Apple's standard opt-in App Analytics (provided via App Store Connect) to view aggregated, anonymous data such as:

  • App crash reports
  • Daily active users (aggregate count)
  • App performance metrics

This data does not identify you personally and is only used to improve app stability and performance.

5. Third-Party Services

HabitRoaster does not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or data brokers. We do not share your data with any third parties.

6. Children's Privacy

HabitRoaster is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete individual habits or all app data at any time through the app's settings. Uninstalling the app removes all associated data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View all your data within the app at any time.
  • Delete: Remove any or all of your data through the app's settings.
  • Portability: Your data is stored on your device and backed up through your Apple ID if iCloud Backup is enabled.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
