Welcome to HabitRoaster ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

HabitRoaster is a habit-tracking application designed to help users identify and reduce bad habits through humor, tracking, and "roast" style messaging. The App features:

  • Habit logging and tracking
  • AI-powered humorous roast messages
  • 10 unique mascot characters
  • Progress analytics, streaks, and heatmaps
  • SOS intervention tools (breathing exercises, craving timers)
  • Sharing functionality for social media

The App offers both free and premium features.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use HabitRoaster. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Premium Features: Some features of the App require a paid subscription ("Premium").
  • Free Trial: We may offer a free trial period for Premium features. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled.
  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. You agree to pay all applicable fees related to your subscription.
  • Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App's code
  • Harass or abuse other users (if interactive features are available)
  • Use the App to distribute malicious content
  • Circumvent any security or access restrictions

6. Content Disclaimer

HabitRoaster provides humorous "roast" messages for entertainment and motivational purposes only. These messages:

  • Are not professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice
  • Should not be used as a substitute for professional treatment
  • Are generated for comedic effect and are not meant to cause genuine distress

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to mascot artwork, roast messages, icons, graphics, and code, is the property of HabitRoaster and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content without our express written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HabitRoaster shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the App.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which HabitRoaster operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
